• What are porcelain crowns?
A dental crown is a cap or cover that is placed over a damaged tooth, starting at the gumline, to protect and restore the size and shape of your tooth. While many materials have been used in the past to create dental crowns, we are excited to offer porcelain dental crowns in Dallas, Texas. Porcelain crowns can be matched to the exact color of your smile and provide a natural, beautiful finish. They are also exceptionally strong. Dr. Saeed Rouhani, our devoted dentist, may suggest a dental crown to repair a severely damaged tooth, protect a tooth from breaking, or hold a broken tooth together. Porcelain crowns are also used to anchor dental bridges and complete dental implant treatments.

  • How are porcelain crowns made?

To begin making a porcelain crown, we will first prepare your tooth by gently reshaping the tooth and taking detailed molds and impressions. This is done to ensure we make a crown that will look natural and fit properly in your mouth. While waiting for your final porcelain crown to be made, we will put a temporary crown in place. After your porcelain crown has been sent back to Dental Attraction Center, we will check it to ensure quality and fit. When everything is perfect, we will permanently cement the porcelain crown in place. We offer porcelain crowns to help restore your smile, and we would love to share more information with you. Please call or visit our dental office today to schedule your appointment. We look forward to working with you and your family!
